He is a 6'1", 170-pound righty.

He was looking at good ones.

His last game, he finally had a couple of well-struck balls and took a walk or two, I think, that were good.

But on our forum, on the website at Sox Prospects, people were screaming, leave him down for the 20 days.

You cannot call him up yet.

He's just not exceptional at one singular thing.

In fact, my all-time favorite quote from Nick Sogard was a quote that he gave to Andrew Parker of Sox Prospects in which he said, quote, [whooshing] "If you come to watch me for a day, you're probably not going to notice that I was on the field.

If you come to watch me for a month or two, you'll probably leave saying I'm a pretty good baseball player." Well, for the first time in his big league career, Nick Sogard has officially surpassed one full month of big league service.

Simon, I think a lot of people are starting to sit there and say, "Hey man, Nick Sogard's a pretty good baseball player." So while this isn't totally shocking to me because I've been a proponent of Nick Sogard for a while, I think there are a lot of people out there who just simply weren't familiar with Nick Sogard in Triple-A or really haven't been paying attention to him at the Major League level, who are sitting there saying, "Where the heck did this guy come from?" Now that we've gotten a larger sample size from him, he's starting to become a guy who we think can be an impact player towards the bottom half of a lineup.
