I'll do the cookery, but I'm not doing more than that.

So I just stick to, like, I help out at Southwark Cathedral every Christmas and Easter.

I do, like, 500 cookies.

That's amazing.

Six years later in 2001, another inquiry into Henderson's behavior decreed that he should be allowed to retain his master's certificate, despite evidence that he previously lied about his qualifications.

And today I am delighted to welcome David Mooney, who is the Chief Executive of the London Wildlife Trust.

David, hello.

We're kind of spread pretty well across London, both the unique visitor hubs in inner London and in these larger sites in outer London.

I'm putting you on the spot a little bit here.

Which is the nearest reserve to Southwark Cathedral? As we sit here

now as the crow flies, it's going to be King's Cross.

Okay.

So I actually had two discernments going on at the same time.

So when I was ordained in Southwark Cathedral in 2009, there was also present Father Kevin, who had both married us and had been of pivotal part in affirming my vocation from Worth

Abbey.

So these paths were kind of intertwining.

He had an interest in the paranormal and in psychic research.

And he and the canon who was working with him at the Southwark Cathedral, which is just in South London, his name was Canon John Pierce Higgins, both had... interest in psychic research and were looking to find evidence from good mediums.

And so, inevitably, they were attracted to Ina Twigg.

One of the things you report in the book, an episode that I found really fascinating, is the committee that was set up by the Archbishop of Canterbury back in the 1930s to investigate spiritualism and report upon it.

Canon Pierce Higgins was another, and there were others as well that were quite happy to speak out.

In fact, both of them were quite unconventional in their approach even to Christianity.

For example, Canon Pierce Higgins made it public at the time he became a canon of Southwark Cathedral that two of the articles of Christianity that he was supposed to sign up to he was he did not agree with and he made that very clear he became headline news in the newspapers a lot of people wanted him kicked out of the church and But he stayed on and did a very good job of making people aware of spiritualism.

And he and Mervyn Stockwood together found Ina Twigg to be a very useful medium to send people to when they had members of the congregation or others who were distraught at having lost somebody.

So warm in fact that we decided to move it into the cathedral because it's cooler than it would be in the library which frankly is about a thousand degrees centigrade at the moment.
