Southside

They're involved in the community.

We operate in a lot of smaller towns around North Carolina and Southside Virginia.

Our biggest location is in Durham, but we are headquartered in Roxborough.

We have an office or a lumber yard in Clarksville, Virginia, Clemens, Asheboro, Danville.

And for the most part, I don't have a problem ripping on a radial arm saw.

The guide calls this essential reading, taking us to the rural fictional Euphoria County in Southside Virginia.

We have Will Seams, a white deputy sheriff who just moved back home, and Beneco Watts, a volatile Black private investigator.

They are forced into one of the prickliest, most complex partnerships in recent fiction.

So that was certainly a life-changing experience to get to see all of the ins and outs of education.

From there, I went to work at the Regional Education Laboratory for Appalachia as a senior research person and have been doing, in addition to that consulting work, when I left there around 2001 or so, and also then worked in some innovation projects, I3 projects, as project director for a nonprofit organization in Southside, Virginia.

That was a tremendous experience.

And since 2018, I've been at Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, serving as the leader of strategic advancement.
