Southern Studios

But they released From the Cradle to the Grave, which is an absolutely stunning album.

Recorded at Southern Studios in Wood Green in October of 1983, and they made use of lots of fags, cider, uh, copious amounts of Marmite and cheese on toast.

Um-

Mm-hmm

... and they recorded it with bits of Crass's drum kit because Southern Studios was Crass's preferred, uh, studio, as well as hosting Big Black, Fugazi, Jesus and Mary Chain, Bellhouse, Therapy?, Flaming Lips, and loads, loads more.

So it's an iconic little studio, um, for a scene that we were all, uh, really into at the time.

Um, but being in a pro recorded studio is, um, not all it's cracked up to be.
