Southern Nights

I'd like to tell you, and I'd like to recommend this album to everyone.

It's Sullivan Fortner, and it's called Southern Nights.

And he's a pianist.

And to me, he's just about the opposite of Perez, because to me, he plays soft.

And there's Peter Washington playing bass and Marcus Gilmore on drums.

And All About Jazz says this, that Sullivan sets out to capture lightning in a bottle and succeeds with radiant charm.

That's what you'll find when you listen to Southern Nights by Sullivan Fortner.

Probably this week I listened to this album more than I did Perez no kidding just just had a I had a much better reaction much calmer much more soothing uh when when things change this album just brought me back to some level of comfort so

But I think the powers that be said, no, you need to do something else.

So that's when I got Marcus and Peter and recorded Southern Nights.

Oh, really? Yeah.

So literally six months later, I went in the studio with Kayvon and Tyrone on my own dime.

I was like, let's just go and just record.

So just for a second, Southern Nights, which is a beautiful record and maybe a little more of a, not a standard record, but something you could understand.

Okay, I get what this is.
