Today's episode of South Coast Scoop is sponsored by the Southeastern Massachusetts Visitors Bureau.

Welcome in to the One South Coast Chamber podcast.

I'm Ian Trombley, Vice President of Public Policy.

And I'm Katie Green, Vice President of Marketing and Events.

It's a lot of fun.

It pretty much always sells out, so if you happen to be in the Southern Massachusetts kind of area and wanna join me for class, there will be a link in the show notes to Stacy's website, and you can see if there's still spots available, and we have a lot of fun.

And now a quick word from our sponsor.

Heart and Squirrel provides quality laser-tagged leatherette patches for knitting and crochet projects.

Joining me today is Dave Phillips, Chief Information Security Officer at Ocean.

the nonprofit consortium that delivers network, cloud, and security services to more than 160 hospitals, schools, libraries, and government agencies across Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.

He's a 30-year technologist who came up through network engineering and enterprise solutions architecture, and he was brought in as Ocean's first-ever CISO to build a cybersecurity office from the ground up.

We're going to get into what it really takes to defend the institutions a community depends on and what's coming at OMC 26 this November.

We can mention 41 and then go some more.

We stand today ready to take your Olympic team that went over there to represent the United States and play in Southern Massachusetts or anywhere you want.

And we will say we can beat you with the best amateurs and men who are earning their daily living in the mills of Southern Massachusetts and Southern New England, including Rhode Island.

The Jersey Shore, same for you, up to fifty-five.

Areas in Southern Mass could get up to sixty.

And because of these higher winds and the heavy rain, the power outage map is getting worse.

Videos on social media show flooded streets in New Jersey in the towns of Surf City and Ocean City.
