Well, those are ones that have come to the One Centre, but we staged the Summer of Pride Festival.

37 events in 30 days across Sunderland, South Tyneside and Gateshead.

And we did this just as all three local authorities went reform.

And they took all our flags down and within two days of coming to power, they officially said, we're withdrawing your funding for your events.

The Great North Run returned to Tyneside today with 63,000 runners taking part in the world's biggest half-marathon.

The 13.1-mile event saw runners and wheelchair users race from Newcastle through Gateshead in South Tyneside before finishing in South Shields.

And what I didn't find out was that the first purpose-built lifeboat was built in this region, in the borough of South Tyneside.

And that was in 1789.

And the one at the beach is the second oldest preserved lifeboat.

yeah wild uh in hindsight um but i'd been you know the nhs like i don't wanna i won't say anything bad about the individuals who work for the nhs because that you know the nurse the nurses at south tyneside who looks after my autism diagnosis were incredible but up until that point i'd been given every diagnosis under the sun or like that doctors have been like no you've got bipolar you've got bpd like these crazy highs and lows you're experiencing you're just a woman who's anxious like oh i just and yeah oh man like and just in hindsight like looking back at my there's sort of a grief that comes with diagnosis i got my diagnosis after so many years of being on a waiting list while i was finishing the lamb

wow and like yeah and

i was the i was on the waiting list while i was writing it uh you know i was on the waiting list for like four or five years so i was on it for a really really long time um so it gave me a lot of time to reflect and i think naturally some of that fell into the lamb um which is why i think margot is so like you know she describes the way she describes faces I think is really is in particular like quite fascinating and now in hindsight I'm like I wonder if that was just like pieces of me slipping in and my understanding of people.

he really does not that different and it was one of them where like you know when sort of like I was watching it again this time and I was thinking where have I seen him before and I looked up and I was like of course I can remember that he was born in South Shields but I also he was the most recent thing I've seen him in was that like sitcom Heaven based on my hometown remember that yeah Oh, so he was in that? Yeah, he played the horny neighbour who wanted to go out with the gran or something.

Oh, that's nice that he went back to his South Tyneside-y roots.

A man from South Tyneside has been told he could be banned from his local cemetery for cleaning headstones.

Ben McGregor started his voluntary work at Hebben Cemetery in March, but has received a warning from the council about health and safety concerns.

Anna Murphy has been finding out more.

He was shortlisted for a South Tyneside Community Award and says he's passionate about the work.
