South Tacoma Activity and Recreation Center

Uh, council members, Mayor Ibsen, I wanna, uh, first of all, as Matt Maurer from Parks Tacoma, I'm the president of, um, our Parks Tacoma district.

I wanna welcome you to the STAR Center.

This is one of our four community centers that we operate.

Um, and we're just really happy that you guys are making the way down here to the South Tacoma, and welcome to all the South Tacoma residents who are here at the STAR Center for this, um, this, uh, city council meeting.

We'd love for you guys to come back on a much more regular basis.

This is pretty cool.

We're really excited for your streets initiative that just passed, and to partner with you all to help, um, make some of the connections to our parks, um, a heck of a lot safer for folks, especially the ones that are, those that are, uh, walking and rolling.

So, uh, very excited for that.

Doors are going to open at 5.30, but the meeting itself will start at 6.

It will be located in South Tacoma, District 5, at the Star Center.

AMENITIES FOR FOLKS LIKE FOOD AND CHILD CARE AND MUSIC.

SO THIS COULD BE REQUESTS FOR POLICY, IF YOU HAVE THOUGHTS ON THE CITY BUDGET, requests for services in your neighborhood or just general questions, we're here to help you.

Again, this is going to be 6 p.m.
