Fearing an opioid overdose, Narcan was administered.

Uh, we gave two milligrams of Narcan, um, and she seemed to become a little bit more agitated, reaching, trying to grab, reaching out with her arms, um, but no, no verbal communication.

Eight-month-old Callan Clancy was pronounced dead on January 27th, 2023.

But as you likely know, there was another survivor in this story.

Lindsay Clancy was brought to the South Shore Hospital as Trauma 1, meaning it was the highest level of trauma, and she was suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Now, she was breathing on her own, but she was in and out of consciousness.

South Shore Hospital in Massachusetts is a level two trauma center, which means they do 24/7 trauma surgery.

So you have access to neurosurgery, orthopedics, anesthesia, radiology, emergency medicine, intensive care.

They can care for very serious life-threatening injuries.

They just have it if you need it.

So again, not a safety rating, if you will.

But Lindsay Clancy is wheeled into South Shore Hospital January 24th, 2023.

She's wearing tank top, jeans, socks, no shoes.

Usually, yes.

And, um, were you aware that, well, Tri- Ms., uh, Clancy went to South Shore Hospital, correct?

Yes.

And, um, are you aware that the, um, wounds on her wrist did not have to be sutured until the following day?

Were you aware that the wound on her neck never had to be sutured?

Same answer.

Duxbury detective Mark Anthony Maffio went to South Shore Hospital, where Lindsay was taken by ambulance on the night of January 24th.

So when, um, you were at the South Shore Hospital, did you have an opportunity to observe Lindsay Clancy?

Patrick would later say, "It was just like, 'What are your symptoms? Take these pills.'" So from here, Patrick actually reached out to a number of therapists in their area, but none of them had immediate availability.

By November 17th, Lindsay's insomnia and anxiety had become so severe that she drove herself to the emergency room at South Shore Hospital.

She had gone another 48 hours without sleep.

She told the ER staff that she couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, had brain fog, insomnia, anxiety, and heart palpitations.

"It's like I'm so desperate to get a mental break from taking care of everyone that my mind is trying to make something physically wrong with me.

Now, Patrick's mother, Sue Clancy, was a nurse at South Shore Hospital.

She had been an RN for 35 years, and she believed that Lindsay needed more appropriate care, specifically for postpartum depression, even though she had not been formally diagnosed with it.
