And, you know, my dad had a great career in sales.

He grew up in South Orange, New Jersey.

Nobody in his family had gone to college before.

So he went to Seton Hall.

I gave him a lift.

Remember I told you I was Menachem Mavo, Rabbi Teddy Friedman, who was rabbi in South Orange, the big conservative rabbi, and he came in Aliyah, in South Orange maybe we fought each other here we were friends so coming from the house of mourning Rabbi Friedman said I was going to BMT Rehobo Babanel Kaplan lived around the corner so they asked me to give him a lift back to BMT so I gave him a lift in my car and my original car here and when he gets out he shows me his fringes And he says, you see, I also wear fringes.

I said, Professor Kaplan, there's one difference.

I wear tzitzit because God commanded.

And consider the timeline.

On August 15th, 1972, just eight days after Jeanette disappeared, 17-year-old Joan Kramer walked out of her home in South Orange, New Jersey.

She was heading toward a local transit terminal and was seen hitchhiking.

She never made it.

She had been manually strangled to death.

Her jewelry, including a necklace that she always wore, had been stripped from her neck and taken by the killer.

Police eventually arrested an accountant from South Orange named Otto Neal Nilsen, who closely matched the witness sketch of the driver who had picked up Joan.

Nilsen had ties to the area bordering Springfield, and neighbors later recalled disturbing behavior and strange comments he made before the murder was ever publicly announced.
