That's what my parents focused most of their attention to.

Oddly enough, with that type of upbringing, somehow my parents spawned off two chefs, myself and my brother, who most people probably know from Barbushito in Norwalk, who's an extremely talented cook in his own right.

And a daughter, my sister, who lives in Berlin right now and has traveled the world for the last 25 years.

So two very hardworking, just good-hearted Americans put these three crazy kids out into the world that just had this amazing appetite to learn and understand people's cultures and lives.

Yeah.

So before we get into your new concept, what was it like opening, for you, opening your own restaurant? I mean, it was obviously very natural.

My first restaurant, my wife and myself, we opened a restaurant called Relish Food and Wine in South Norwalk, which I still today, again, I will say, and just because... you're asking, I think was the best restaurant in the state of Connecticut at the time.

It was unbelievable.

Fast forwarding from Bigfoot, vampires, and wild man sightings, but stopping short of the flood we talked about earlier that destroyed the town in 1898, The next thing up on our timeline is a murder that would occur in Glastonbury that some say still haunts the surrounding forests of where the old sawmill once stood.

This murder took place on April 2nd, 1892. when mill worker henry mcdowell bludgeoned his co-worker john crawley to death with a rock journalist heather sutphin writes that quote no one is certain what led to the murder but local historians agree that the men had been drinking heavily and arguing the previous night after it was discovered that crowley was dead mcdowell hopped on a train in an attempt to flee to canada He would later turn himself over to South Norwalk, Connecticut authorities and confess to the murder.

McDowell would subsequently be declared insane after complaining of hearing voices in his head and was ordered by a judge to serve out his sentence in the Vermont State Mental Asylum.

McDowell, however, had other plans and was able to make an escape.
