Carl Friedman was my boyfriend at the time.

And Carl was curating this exhibition at South London Gallery called Minky Manky with a lot of British artists in.

And Carl wouldn't put me in it because he said I was his girlfriend and it would look very patronising because I used to make very small work with lots of writing.

He said to me, if you can think of a big work, a big idea, you can be in the show.

So, um, it's something that we've really kind of, you know, the partnership has developed alongside that as well, um, because we also have an, a couple of projects that we run alongside that, um, and in partnership with Frieze, like the, we have something called the Emerging, um, Curators Fellowship, which is something that, um, we developed with Frieze, where we, um, with the aim to basically give a paid, um, uh, a placement for a, a curator or an emerging curator, um, from diverse backgr- grounds or from global majority backgrounds, um, in a really leading institution in the UK.

So, um, we've partnered with, um, South London Gallery, um, the Whitworth, um, Chisenhale, and all to, to place a, um, a curator, uh, with them, uh, for about a year, um, to kind of effectively advance their career and then, and it's been a really great-
