South Asian Heritage Month

Like what we did there? So, if you like the sound of our podcast and you think this is a bit of me, shall we crack on with this week's episode? [upbeat music] June was Pride Month, which celebrates and supports the LGBTQ+ community.

July was South Asian Heritage Month, which celebrates South Asian art, food, music, and culture.

Now, don't get me wrong, I bloody love a good celebration, and it's good that we have these moments in the calendar.

But we have to remember why events such as these and others exist in the first place, and the importance of supporting these communities.

Very true.

And yeah, so let's introduce what this week's topic is about and what this episode is about.

In June, we had LGBTQ+ Pride Month, and then July was South Asian Heritage Month.

LGBT Pride Month honors the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City, and then South Asian Heritage Month celebrates South Asian art, food, music, and culture.
