That's still real, man.

It was, yeah.

When you cross the strains of Rick Sampson and Sour Diesel, you get Rick Diesel.

Rick Diesel.

And you're going to need a lot of it to get through this stuff.

Okay.

But, uh, I know when Shaw gave me that cut, he gave me some flour that he had grown, and it was the best sour diesel I had ever smoked in my entire life.

And I never grew it near as good as he did that time, and never have

since.

I mean, I was like, you know, who's to argue with, you know, um, you know, honestly it smells and looks and all the above better than lemon tree.

Ooh.

Um, when the weird thing, when I got it from him, uh, the lemon party was just super stout and sturdy the lemon tree he gave me was super stout and sturdy but as soon as i got it it just it it grew big it grew like a sour diesel you know oh wow just a a big you know tall lanky plant sturdy but you know yeah you know all that and so uh um It definitely wasn't no Lemon Tree.

So one of my helpers at the time, with a good sense of humor, he was taking clones and he made those clones instead of Lemon Tree Asterix, which is what I would name something if I didn't think it was what it was.

That combination gives Cavalier a smoky, soulful backdrop for his detailed writing.

Songs like Bring It Back Remember an Era of Purple Piff, Sour Diesel, Dollar Bags, Relaxed Handshakes, and Personal Relationships with the Plug.

When Loji joins in, the nostalgia becomes even richer.

What makes the album work is that it never settles for being a typical weed record.

I'm hoping it's live.

It's not doing like the East Coast Sour Diesel reversal did, where it's like chunky and not wanting to fly.

These are actually opening up like normal, and I'm able to, you know, I've been picking up some of the earlier ones just to get it rolling, and sprinkling them you know do my pollen chucking thing but yeah dude uh i'm hoping uh and in next three or four days i should know if they took or whatever but um yeah that's pretty cool man i'm kind of happy about that i'm gonna try to collect some but like half the plant reversed the other half didn't really want it didn't really go or it's going later i don't it seems like it's forming a little, I mean, it just seems like, yeah, I don't know, man.

It's weird.

Or it was like four of one, four of another, two of another, two of another.

And the last two were the ones that reversed and the other ones didn't at all.
