But it says, while Paul Weller is featured in the book through albums by The Jam, such as Mod Cons, Setting Suns and Sound Effects, Café Blue was left off the list, nor does it appear anywhere in the show's reference material.
JeffHOST
20:09
And I thought, so it was a bit late to bother pulling another album out.
JeffHOST
20:14
So I thought, fuck it, we'll just do Café Blue, Mick.

Vito GesualdiHOST
9:27
So, uh, Infernal Goose says, this is a top-notch show, but I'm missing the UFO sound effect.
Vito GesualdiHOST
9:33
Guys, I'm trying to find some great sound effects for the show.
Vito GesualdiHOST
9:36
We got this.
Vito GesualdiHOST

balls! Ha, ha, ha!
Vito GesualdiHOST
9:46
Yeah! So we're going to keep adding great sound effects to this show.
Carsten KapernickGUEST
3:47
Uh, we used Framestore in London.
Carsten KapernickGUEST
3:49
So whenever we had a, an animatic for a scene that we liked, um, with, like temp voices and storyboards and all the usual things, sound effects, then we would send it to Framestore and they would create a, a 3D pre-vis of the scene with a [laughs] little CGI Wiley blocked in as well.
Carsten KapernickGUEST
4:06
Then once we had that okay, so I was cutting on top of the storyboards, basically that, and then once we were happy with that n- 3D layout of the scene, we would remove the Wiley and any other Looney Tunes character, and then our animators and story artists would then draw what we called sketch-vis on top of the 3D animation to indicate the Looney Tunes, um, characters in their key poses in hand-drawn images as alphas that we would stack on top of the, the, uh, the video, basically.
Carsten KapernickGUEST
4:37
So the goal of the entire thing was to, that we would end up with a 3D pre-vis version of the movie, where 2D animated drawings of the Looney Tunes characters would be on top of it, that would, where the 3D would represent what would become the live action, and the 2D could be used as a performance reference for the shoot later on.

7 MINS LATER

Carsten KapernickGUEST

So I always have to remind myself, when something plays in an earlier stage, you know it's gonna fly later, so it's a, it's a good thing.
Steve HullfishHOST
12:02
Did you have access to the full Looney Tunes sound effect library?
Carsten KapernickGUEST
12:06
We did have the sound effects, like all the Hanna-Barbera, so stuff with sound effects as well, and we pulled all the original cartoons as well and, and pulled things.
Carsten KapernickGUEST
12:14
Sometimes we didn't have clean, uh, tracks for those because, you know, this just doesn't exist anymore.
Callum EwingHOST

Callum EwingHOST

[laughs] I was, uh, saying to James earlier on just off air, but look, I've got some sound effects now with the updated Zencastr so I can, I can do-

The score is always like-
James LearoydHOST

Yeah
Tom ManningHOST

... absolutely 10 out of 10, and the sound effects are just...
Tom ManningHOST

I mean, like some, some, in some of the films, even in some of, like, the, the films that I'm not as big on with Miyazaki, some of the sound effects are just like, you're there and you're thinking, "What's going on here? This is [laughs] it's just incredible."
JamesHOST
46:30
Trying to make a point.
JamesHOST
46:31
What is happening? My shit's, I'm getting, dude, I got like eight sound effects going off at three times.
JamesHOST
46:37
So sorry.

And so we get this match between Joe Hendry and JD, and Joe Hendry spends two minutes insulting JD over his giant head and then beats him with Matt Hardy's move.
SteveHOST
56:54
Well, he calls it the Sound Effect.
LarsonHOST
56:55
Yeah, rather than the Side Effect.
LarsonHOST
56:57
I know.
John PollockHOST
55:41
[laughs] As, um, Dominic here just tumbles here, taking a headbutt from the Funko fucking Pop.
John PollockHOST
55:46
Um, JD, of course, is distracted by this, misses a moonsault, and gets hit by something called the Sound Effect.
Wai TingHOST
55:54
Yeah.
John PollockHOST
55:54
The Sound Effect.
John PollockHOST
55:55
Not a side effect, a sound effect.
John PollockHOST
55:58
Um-
Wai TingHOST
