Soul Survivor

Praise the name of the Lord.

There's a church called Soul Survivor that Matt Redman was part of.

Now, he wrote a song called The Heart of Worship.

I don't know if you guys have heard it.

His point was that we'd lost our way in worship and that the way to get back to the heart of worship would be to strip everything away, reminding his church family to be producers in worship and not just consumers.

The pastor, Mike Pilavici, asked, when you come through the doors on a Sunday, what are you bringing as your offering to God? Matt says the question initially led to some embarrassing silence but eventually people broke into a cappella songs and heartfelt prayers encountering God in a fresh way and the song I am coming back to the heart of worship was born.

And when that song was sung in Watford, England at the Soul Survivor Church, a revival broke out in that church due to the sound that came forth.

So the significance of sound is that sound has got a way in which it always ushers in revival.
