Well, I was actually just thinking about from my students because all of them need the research.

So I see them as two very distinct groups.

There's the curious motivated and many times they'll come to you with, I find this field interesting.

I want to go into this field.

Can you help me define a research question there? And that's lovely to do.

That's really motivating.

So when do you decide to actually need to write this up and then do some conferences say you can't present stuff which is in the peer-reviewed literature?
