And so I took it upon myself to look into the rights and to republish these fine works.

And many of these books you've seen, I guess, with Sophia Institute Press and different Catholic media outlets.

I'm a regular on EW10 television.

I have a weekly radio show heard on the Radio Maria network.

And that was a return to God.

Well, we're speaking today with Al Smith, the founder of the Archbishop Fulton Sheen Mission Society, about a new book published by, I think it's Sophia Institute Press, on the book, The Declaration of Dependence.

Thank you so much, Mr. Smith, because it is a very, very appropriate book today.

It will answer a lot of questions for people.

We're talking with Al Smith, and he is founder and director of the Archbishop Fulton Sheen Mission Society of Canada.

And what's really interesting is you are working with Sophia Institute Press to bring back a bunch of Fulton Sheen's works that are, I guess, out of print.

Is that correct? Yes.

Yes, that's right.

And all the books that I've read during the war years, I'm a better person for it after reading.

It's time well spent.

And so that's the beauty of Fulton Sheen is that this is why we're so passionate at Sophia Institute Press to reintroduce Fulton Sheen to a whole new generation of readers.

And so, again, it's a blessed mission.

This is crucial.

I know Sophia Institute Press, the publisher, they've done not just this book but so many others.

But, you know, The Cries of Jesus from the Cross, many people use this book as a Lectio Divina.

They just take, there's 49 meditations in the book and so many people just read one meditation a day and draw themselves closer to our Lord, Our Lady, the Church through these short meditations.

I don't I think in my mind I was like, OK, maybe I'll I'll talk to the saints later, you know.

So I got started on Robert Bellarmine because I had just released my first book with Sophia Press.

And I guess my parish took note of that.

Well, my parish is named St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in Omaha.

Well, on the topic of books, I've been blessed to partner with Sophia Institute Press, and we've produced three anthologies.

The first one came out in the year 2018.

It's called The Cries of Jesus from the Cross, and what I did is I took seven of Archbishop Sheen's books on the seven last words, and they all have a unique theme.

What do you, what do you want people to know about your family and how it can help them? Or rather, what was on your heart when you wrote, uh, The Habsburg Way?

I was, uh, you know, every member of my family is all his life grappling with, what does it mean to be, for me to be a Habsburg? Uh, how do I translate what this family stood for into the 21st century? And, uh, we, we, we all go through different phases here and, uh, so when I was asked by Sophia Press to write a book on the Habsburgs, [clears throat] I told them I'm not going to write the 10,001st book on Habsburgs, um, repeating the history.

But I wanted to do something different, and I decided to write a book on our core values and principles, uh, that were always the same over 800 years.

And, uh, that was, of course, tall talking.
