Sony α7S III

Yeah, there's nothing...

There isn't a camera body out there that would be reasonable to afford and use in the field that gives me a better image than what I get out of my A7S III if I do my job right with the camera.

Yeah.

I mean, we're doing a lot of hybrid shooting right now, so the A1 is definitely the boss most of the time.

But if we need low light stuff or have a second camera, we always have A7S III.

Yeah.

Well, we got a little bit of daylight left to go hunt.

I know, darling.

And the camera that I'm talking to you on right now is the a7S III, Mark, which you might

be familiar with.

Yeah.

So those are the first cameras I got.

But I've switched to largely Sony nowadays just because the a7S III can film at night.

It's the only one that can do it.

So that's, I kind of like that, but do like some kind of a main camera, even if it's a camcorder.

But what I would do is my a7S III with like a 24 to 105 lens on it.

uh a gopro on a stake that you stick in the ground and then my phone through spotter

okay and so that's uh when you're filming yourself you know your glass or whatever is that the gopro set up or not really is that just when you're like sneaking in or getting a shot yeah

I mean, look how long that's been in the market, and it's still super relevant.

We were just talking about, I still have my main three cameras are still the a7S III.

Yeah.

Like my studio cameras.

So I do self-film my hunts.

I'm running the Sony a7s3 that is in the pretty typically pretty much in the bottom of my pack and I've got a just a road video mic on top of that I've got a 24 to 240 lens a lot of stuff might be kind of boring to some of you unless you like to self film your hunts and you're looking to get into that a little bit more or whatever so that's sitting at the bottom and then I usually have some kind of shirt merino wool base layer even like a schmog or something like that some kind of cloth that I can kind of fold up and pad down and then I lay that on top of the camera that way I have a nice cushy squishy layer on top and then I'll put my camera arm base right on top of that And then, you know, pretty much anything else I need, like I said, jacket or whatever else will go in.

I kind of sandwich the layers that way everything's protected.

And then I will have my camera arm actually strapped to the side of my backpack, kind of in one of the cup holders and then strapped down with the straps.

i know a lot of people that like run camcorders when they're self-filming that's a lot easier because you can have everything on like a little thumb control but that's also something to think about when you're sorry that's what i used for a while and then i got like an a7s3 and an a7s4 or a7 IV rather, and that's what all I run.

The a7S III is basically what I run for my kill shots and an a7 IV is always pointing at me because the a7 IV is awesome for like interview style because I can run it at 48 shutter speed and 24 frames per second, which is what we see at.

So it's like, it's awesome.

You can't slow it down.

But that doesn't really matter when you're doing like interviews style stuff.

And then the A7S III, I can run in 4K 120, which you can slow down, which is pretty well, a lot better than like 60 or 24, which you can't do anything with.

Yeah.

But yeah, with audio too.

When you record yourself, like do you, what do you use for a camera when you're recording yourself?

I have a a7S III.
