Sonny Bunch

Apparently, we'll find that out.

But first, Sonny Bunch, what's happening in your neck of the woods?

Not much.

I have very boring child sports chatter here for a second.

Now, ever since Buckley Carlson, we should have included that in this, but we'll give somebody a little tease for later.

Ever since Buckley Carlson did this weird selfie video about the important work that Joel Webben is doing, I guess Buckley is one of his viewers, and said he can't wait to commune with him at the big conference in Dallas after the election, I've been calling on Sonny Bunch to be deployed there.

Now, that's not my job.

I'm not the managing editor.

Welcome back to this Tuesday's Across the Movie Aisle.

I'm your host, Sonny Bunch.

I'm joined, as always, by Alyssa Rosenberg and Peter Suderman.

Alyssa, Peter, how are you today?

Welcome back to The Bulwark Goes to Hollywood.

My name is Sonny Bunch.

I am culture editor at The Bulwark.

And I'm very pleased to be rejoined today by Geoff Edgers, who has been on.

I really appreciate it.

Thanks so much at any time.

And my name is Sonny Bunch.

Uh, and I'm very pleased to be rejoined today by Matt Roller, who is the showrunner, creator, uh, mad genius behind, uh, Haunted Hotel, the Netflix hit animation show, now in its second season.

Uh-

Awesome

... and again, my name is Sonny Bunch.

I am culture editor at The Bulwark.

The piece asks a direct question.

When a master of television deception films a convicted fraudster, can the audience trust anything on screen? Written by Sonny Bunch in The Bulwark.

Narrated for Arva.

you can see everything.

Alyssa, Peter, how are you today?

It just puts it on a different level than The Social Network, right? Which has made a number of best of the century lists.

Social Reckoning, not as good as The Social Network.

Sonny Bunch, put that on the poster.

Uh, Alyssa, when we were texting about it, you seem to really hate this movie.

Thanks for having us.

And my name is Sonny Bunch.

I am culture editor at The Bulwark, and we'll be back next week with another episode of The Bulwark Goes to Hollywood.

We'll see you guys then.

But the idea was pretty simple.

We, the hosts, would assign each other and you, the listeners, something to watch, something that would play into whatever we were reviewing the next week.

Seems pretty straightforward, right? Well, we stopped doing that because it didn't work.

But we're going to kick off year number two by bringing it back, kind of, with a twist.
