K
4:22Kurt OzanHOST

out Sonic Ranch is awesome because it's literally one of the few places where everybody can just have their own room so you can just disappear if you don't have anything to do just disappear for a few hours or like there was some harmonica parts that ended up on the record that Lyndon and I recorded at 2.30 in the morning after we'd been drinking all day everybody else went to sleep just us recorded some stuff forgot about it and then it popped back up in the mix stumble to your room yeah and then

S

And I was starting to lose my patience because I would get these gigs.
S
36:10Scott McDowellGUEST
I would be, I was getting gigs where I was being, I was going up to Panoramic in Stinson Beach for a month, or I was going to Sonic Ranch for a couple of weeks, or I was going to, I was getting flown different places, going up to Seattle, going, going around the country to do what I kind of call destination records.
S
36:28Scott McDowellGUEST
And my studio would just sit empty the whole time.
S
36:29Scott McDowellGUEST
And so it was exciting and fun to go to a new place, but it was also frustrating because half the money I was earning was just going and paying for an empty room.
