Sonic and the Secret Rings

Um, Secret Rings is terrible.

There's s- there's, like, Sonic's got so many bad stories.

Now, and I'm like, "Oh, my God." And I, and I, I had to inf- tell Max.

I'm like, "It's a Sonic reference." I'm like, "It's a So- it's a Sonic thing." I'm like, yeah, so there was this game called Sonic and the Secret Rings on, on Wii, and the main theme, the main butt rock theme was, uh, it was like, Make re- Make Believe Reborn.

You know, quest- you know, it was like this big Arabian Nights style, like, butt rock, you know? And, and, um, the big chorus is, "Seven rings in hand," you know, "nights with beating sand.

Seven rings in..." And I'm like, this...

... because the fans remade it.

Um- Sonic and the Secret Rings is infamously, uh, the game- Hopefully this starts going there, yeah ... yeah, uh, is infamously the game that is probably the main reason why Sonic '06 is bad.

[laughs] Because they wanted to put Sonic '06 on the Wii, uh, and then they realized that they couldn't make that happen, so they pulled a bunch of people away to make a Sonic game uniquely for the Wii instead.

Mm.

And that became Sonic and the Secret Rings, uh, which, um, is a really unique Sonic game- Mm-hmm ... for a number of reasons.

Um, like I said, it was for the Wii.

Very heavily, um, motion control inspired.

Um, and it's just a really unique, uh, setting for a Sonic game.

was? I really want to believe it was around the Sonic 06 era.

But Sonic and the Secret Rings was also not very good.

think you need a new group of dumb kids to get into Sonic because I think all the people who were once dumb kids who bought every single Sonic game are now a bit more discerning.

You know, like the same dumb kids who bought Sonic 06 and bought Sonic and the Secret Rings are now adults and probably maybe a bit more like, those new games don't look so good.

So you need some more kids.
