and so this was on the calendar but a few weeks before we had gotten um our publishers invited us to the country music hall of fame the songwriters hall of fame induction ceremony yeah so we were literally just plus ones like i had no reason to be there other than somebody was like come on you want to see how cool this is and so that's how i met him we um there was like a I guess like an intermission.

And so all these people were out in this hallway.

And like I said, I was so overwhelmed.

But fast forward slightly to 2026 and Graham has just been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York alongside Taylor Swift, Alanis Morissette and Gene Simmons.

The award was presented to him by Chairman Niall Rogers, and the opening speech of the night was made by legendary film director Steven Spielberg.

A man from Largs being in amongst all of that is, quite frankly, jaw-dropping stuff.

In 2003, the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place.

Gordon Lightfoot was the inaugural inductee for this hall.

Rock musician Tom Cochran presented him with the historic honor.

They just bought a house there.

And this year she was just inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

And it's like, that's kind of a full circle moment.
