Song for Shelter

When human drummers and traditional instruments come up against drum machines and synths, the sound can be quite jarring.

So I was trying to think of a house tune with a long intro to create a smoother transition between these two sounds.

Because I'm an old man and still DJ with vinyl, I couldn't just download something suitable and needed to look through my record collection.

I remembered a tune, Song for Shelter, from Fatboy Slim's third album, Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars, released in the year 2000.

It has this long, blissed-out intro with vocals from Roland Clark, and the drums don't come in for over three minutes.

Perfect.

You guys just keep it rolling.
