Sonata Arctica

So let's get into it.

We're gonna start, uh, before we get into some doom and death and black metal, we're gonna start with a couple power metal songs, Sonata Arctica and Blind Guardian.

Yeah, both of them have songs about the harvest.

Uh, from Blind Guardian, we're hear- we're gonna hear Harvest of Sorrow from Nightfall in Middle Earth, their sixth album, released on Virgin Records back in '98.

And starting off tonight from Finland, Sonata Arctica, their fifth album, Unia.

That one was released by Nuclear Blast Records back in 2007, and we're gonna hear a song called The Harvest.

So let's all give thanks for, uh, the harvest season, if you're in the Canadian area.

Welcome to the show.

Yeah.

Sonata Arctica's finally coming to party weekend.

[laughs]

I'll be there.

So that was, that was when I dropped it.

But I was, uh, I started going into more like Complicated stuff like this is where I was getting into like the like progressive metal and like the stuff out of Finland like children of Bodum Sonata Arctica like the stuff that was just a real Like technical work like I was like taking lessons and started taking music theory lessons even So I loved all the influence these guys had with like classical work like one of children of Bodum songs Like if you really listen to it, there's it's like Beethoven's fifth in the background.

Oh my gosh.

Oh Yeah, man.

right on.

That's there's a there's a song by a band called Sonata Artica, like a Finnish metal band.

They have a song called Alone in Heaven.

And that's literally like what you just described was, is the lyrics.
