GeoffHOST

One final note from me.
GeoffHOST
45:13
I mentioned at the beginning that Sabotsky bought three stories from Night Shift and then sold them all on to Dino De Laurentiis.
GeoffHOST
45:22
The third of those stories, sometimes they come back.
GeoffHOST
45:25
That was made a few years after this as a TV film.
Justin WaddellHOST
52:57
Creepshow 3 is an atrocity.
Justin WaddellHOST
52:59
I did see Sometimes They Come Back.
Justin WaddellHOST
53:01
Oh, I did.
Justin WaddellHOST

He just punches people's heads through.
Christian McGahanHOST
37:45
And then sometimes they come back.
Jon SargentHOST
37:49
Pretty decent, very paint-by-number Stephen King stuff.
Jon SargentHOST
37:54
If I said, you probably have a relatively limited knowledge of Stephen King, but if I said write 10 Stephen King-isms that you could just come up with off the top of your head, that's what Sometimes They Come Back is.
Jon SargentHOST
38:08
It's like his greatest hits album, you know what I mean? But it's fine.
Christian McGahanHOST
38:14
And last, but certainly not least...
TimHOST
22:41
I was like, did I see a little bit of it? I couldn't remember exactly.
TimHOST
22:43
When I started this movie, I immediately was like, no, I did not see any of this movie because I immediately was like – it was one that was for me like exactly like you said i did not expect the like buddy comedy like it almost like i haven't seen after hours it's high on my list though so that's probably one i'm gonna try to get uh watched in november you know once we get past spooky season but uh but the vibe of you know robert rustler and the other guy which shout out the scream king robert rustler because between this sometimes they come back which honestly i was thinking about making it uh robert rustler double feature and going with sometimes they come back next just for something you know funny and unique but uh so maybe we'll do that as the next film but um and then of course he's in you know nightmare too but uh
StephenHOST
23:22

And then hopefully after that, we'll do something fun.
TimHOST
82:50
Maybe we'll do sometimes, or yeah, sometimes they come back after that and make it a Robert Ressler double feature.
TimHOST
82:55
It'll just be a little spread out, but yeah.
JustinHOST
0:26
That was not great.
JustinHOST
0:28
But you know what could be great? Sometimes they come back.
SeanHOST
0:32
Sometimes they come back.

SeanHOST
0:38
This is a guilty pleasure of mine.

42 MINS LATER

JustinHOST
42:10
yep oh hell yeah definitely and it was shot in 30 days all
SeanHOST
42:15
right originally this was intended for theatrical uh release and However, this movie did go direct to TV in the USA due to De Laurentiis Entertainment actually going bankrupt, which is shocking.
SeanHOST
42:29
I didn't know that because De Laurentiis is... like up there in name recognition but that went bankrupt so it went direct to TV it was still shown theatrically over in Europe though through some local distributors the two loosely related sequels sometimes they come back dot dot dot again in 96 and sometimes they come back for more in 98 were direct to video from the outset I'm just going to let you know, Justin.
Deborah FloraHOST
109:28
Rosemary's Baby, that was, wow, Roman Polanski, something very, very, uh, new when he did that, very frightening.
Deborah FloraHOST
109:37
Uh, Sometimes They Come Back, written by Stephen King.
Deborah FloraHOST
109:39
You know, here's one that we haven't talked about, and I got a funny story to go with it as we close it out.
Deborah FloraHOST

But I love him.
Anthony NorthrupGUEST

Joshua KahnHOST
13:36
Yeah.
Anthony NorthrupGUEST
13:36
Um, he's in this, but he also appeared in my other books too.
AntonioGUEST
11:36
You don't just put characters like that in book after book after book.
AntonioGUEST
11:39
Sometimes They Come Back is another example too, right? Christine, like he, he really had this fascination with the, let's call them dangerous youth.
AntonioGUEST
11:49
We know about like those juvenile delinquent movies of the '50s, like Concrete Jungle and stuff like that.
AntonioGUEST
11:56
Or was it Blackboard, uh, Jungle? But there is a- an idea that runs through those novels of how one character just gets beat upon and preyed upon, whether it's because they're weak or they're poor or they're of a different ethnicity.
