But before we get into the conversation, I just want to give you some context of the conversation itself.

They want to say that I can rely on that bus to get to where I need to go.

that is probably the number one focus but reliability also means frequency if the bus is going to come only every once every 30 minutes you might say that's not reasonable enough for me to make it to where i need to go especially if the bus is unreliable so one of the things that we need to consider especially for a ward like center town and somerset ward is that we have multiple ways to get around the city people walk they cycle you can take a ride share which is fairly low cost depending on where you're going because we're kind of centrally located so people have options so for people if we want oc transpo and transit to become you know the service that people go back to then we need to make it reliable and frequent because people want to choose to take an option that works for them and if the option that's available to them is not the best not reliable not frequent they will go with the other options and that leaves us in a very difficult situation with oc transpo yeah

Name one transit fix in your ward you would push the hardest for over the next four years.

it's hard not to say reliability yeah i think like that one's going to be the big one uh i think about the local buses in our area like a bus like the 14 that kind of goes right through the ward you know people really rely on it to get around and i hear from lots of people at the door said a bus like that is just not reliable it doesn't show up when it's supposed to you can wait a long time for it and then all of a sudden multiple buses of the same bus after you've waited for it show up at the right at the same time so i think that's one of the things people want to focus on but at the same time It's also kind of how do we get those buses through the downtown core in a reasonable and fast way.
