say i think you were the first person who wrote the you know the best album since some girls like with every rolling stones record which i don't know if that's where you're about to go but Exactly.

Like Voodoo Lounge, that's the best ones in some girls.

Sometimes it was Exile if they really liked it.

None of them held up.

I did that story for the Chicago Reader in, I think, 1995.

And every single review said, you know, it's their best record in decades.

There are some great rocking tunes on there, some great western-type tunes like...

City Lights, which is, if you imagine, I don't know if you know the song by the Stones on, I think it was Some Girls' Faraway Eyes, just on the B side or the other side of Miss You, where he talks in this sort of southern drool, you know, talking about around 20 red lights in his honour.

and The Girl With Far Away Eyes.

There were a lot of bands back then that chased whatever was happening that day, put out the disco hit and everything.

I mean, even the Rolling Stones' Some Girls album had a taste of disco to it and everything.

That's why I respect a band like Queen, is Queen just always did what they were doing, and they weren't going to chase the disco or anything like that.

No, and that's, no, exactly.

But Love Gun was, I think, a number one bestseller at the time.

And Some Girls by the Stones.

And then there was another one, I can't remember, but I wanted all three and my mom wouldn't give me the money for the Kiss specifically because she thought they were ruining my life because I had a room plastered with their posters.

I was so obsessed that even my ceiling had posters of Kiss and she hated it.
