Solar Decathlon

Middlebury was gonna lay a natural gas pipeline and actually bring, uh, you know, renewably produced, uh, natural gas, uh, coming off of that farm actually to the college to then use in its combined heat and power plant on site, and that was gonna be a, you know, a key piece of it.

So I came to it from, you know, in my undergrad experience, I was part of Solar Decathlon and built a net zero home, uh, with other students on campus.

You know, did many other renewable energy things, but became very interested in that.

And I think at that time too, [clears throat] we were just starting to see, like, food waste bans and, like, organics diversion where we had seen, you know, there was this big-- gonna be this big market of, like, new organics that needed to get processed.

And that question ultimately led me to renewable energy, which is a passion I've had ever since college.

I was involved in renewable energy clubs and design competitions through college, through USGBC and the Solar Decathlon and Race to Zero competitions held by NREL in Denver.

But I didn't actually know that my whole career could focus on renewables until I came here at DLR Group.

That is super cool.
