Sodium carbonate

The Eva Bristol is leaving Longview.

She's another bulker with Soda Ash on board, leaving around 1.30 p.m., passing Astoria outbound around 5 p.m.

The Aqua Gemini is leaving Longview, Petcoke on board, leaving around 4 p.m., passing Astoria outbound around 7.30 p.m.

The Alchimos Heracles is leaving Vancouver carrying wheat, there's a great name, leaving around 6.30 p.m., passing Astoria outbound around 12.30 a.m. early on Thursday.

That would put her in Calama around noontime.

And the Shine Sapphire is heading to Longview.

She is picking up soda ash there, leaving around 9 a.m. in Longview by about 1230 p.m. And we have an interesting vessel that I mentioned yesterday.

She's not where I thought she was, but she still is in the neighborhood.

Chlorine dioxide is not bleach.

So standard household chlorine bleach is sodium hypochlorite or NaClO, which is typically diluted to five to nine percent in water and also normally contains sodium chloride or NaCl, which is table salt, sodium hydroxide or NaOH, also known as lye or caustic soda, which is a corrosive agent that is actually added in small amounts to keep the solution stable, and sodium carbonate or Na2CO3, also known as soda ash or washing ash, which is used as a buffer in chlorine bleach to maintain its performance and pH balance over time.

So chlorine dioxide is ClO2, which is unique from chlorine bleach and all of its other contents, as you can see from its unique chemical formula, which doesn't contain any sodium as represented by the Na designation, which all of the other chemicals do.

But since it contains the word chlorine, it's been misrepresented and propagandized as bleach to deter people from using it.

So here we are back again.

So, uh, The next picture we have is you guys throwing down, I think the bags of soda ash, but I couldn't zoom in.

Is that correct?

Yeah, soda ash.

We carried some of that on our rig and we were fortunate in this incident that basically to the right of that photo about 500 yards was a chemical distribution facility that we have a great working relationship with.

Nice.

And they were able to get us some more soda ash pretty quickly so we could start diluting that and raising that pH from what was on the ground.

Yeah, and that's something, too, that if people are listening and watching, what have you, if you don't have those emergency contact numbers out already, we carried – what was it, Derek? A tote that had 50 pounds of soda ash, and we might have had – four or five bags back at the big house.
