Sociometry

Uh, but it wasn't until...

And there was some stuff in the '30s and, and the '40s and the '50s in a field that was called sociometry.

And in fact, there's now a journal called So- so- or there was a journal called Sociometry.

It's now called Social Psychology Quarterly.

But the idea that there was a whole mathematics of social networks that was based on a, an aspect of a field in mathematics called graph theory, that was just fascinating to me.

In hybrid setups, where some people are in a physical office and some are remote, researchers are deploying wearable technology to measure dynamics.

They use sociometric badges.

Sociometric badges, like a smart ID lanyard you wear around your neck.

Exactly like that.

These badges are equipped with sensors that record up to one hundred data points a minute.
