Snappers

Yeah, so like I'm not opposed to an increase in the size limits.

Like a 65 centimetre Kingie and a 30 centimetre Snapper are quite small fish.

I won't really comment too much further on Snapper fishing as I haven't done that much.

But for Kingfish, like a proposed boat limit of one for a boat is insane like i go out with one or two mates and we target kingfish uh recently i went out with a mate rob and we spent three and a half hours trolling live baits before we got onto some kingies ended up with nice three nice keys the biggest being a fat 84 centimeter one on a live yakka But the new limit would make it pointless to go with mates.

Like you may as well take a boat each and have our own little fishing fleet armada, which just means busier boat ramps, more boats on the water, more fuel being used and less fun and less safety for anglers because you're fishing solo.

There's school mackerel are showing up around Hope Banks.

Snapper, like not big snapper, squirrely snapper around Green Island and Mud Island as well.

The school mackerel are on smaller slugs, 20 to 30 grams.

Fish, the pylons, the beacons, and the sand flats where they drop off into the deeper water.

I didn't even think of that a name.

It's like Froggies.

You know where Froggies is? Froggies down at Snapper Rocks? Yeah.

Snappers are going out there catching triggerfish and these other hinds and these other small groupers.

Even if there was, like, four or five of them, we would buy them.

And now that's all fixed.

What about snapper?

Snapper, we didn't really try to target snapper too much.

We didn't catch many of them, only probably about five or six snapper, but we weren't really trying to target them.

We were mainly after the scamps and gag groupers.
