Like remember, like remember everything.

Like [laughs] so I just like when I was writing it I was just like, um, I'm obsessed with Smino, and I was super inspired by him when I wrote that.

And I was like, I wanna write a song about...

Like I wanna write a rap song or a hip hop song because I actually wrote a rap before, um, about my ex.

I, I can imagine.

Um, I put, um, a song called Amphetamine by Smino that I've listened to a lot.

Uh, I love it as a closer to, to an album that I was quite obsessed with called Black Swan from, like, 2017.

Something I love about it as a closing track is that, like, um, it kind of has, like, different sections where, like, there's a slower section towards the end that kind of just rides out, and it's this feeling of riding out, and they, like, really achieved, um...

Yeah.

But you got Smino.

You got Smino.

I know he's probably, uh, it doesn't seem like he may not be where Sexyy Red's at, but Smino's big, but he represents a different, a different artistry of St. Louis as well.

But I know what you mean.

Well, speaking of St. Louis artists, Nelly and the St. Lunatics are supposed to be working on their first album in 25 years.

So I've been bumping it a lot lately, and this is one of my favorite tracks off that.

It's called Shadow Man with Felix, Saba, and Smino.

No Name with her 2016 10-year-old release, Telephone.

That one's called Shadow Man.

Some of the first times we've heard Smino and Saba in sort of that mainstream hip-hop sphere who have... obviously gone on to carve out pretty prominent careers of their own outside of that release but looking back at telephone if you haven't listened to it if that was your introduction to it i would heavily recommend going and grabbing a copy or at least streaming it came out at the end of july in 2016 uh artist by the name of no name who uh Had a couple of title changes over her career, but has stuck with No Name for a while now.
