[gentle music] There are so many places that therapists are playing an essential role when it comes to AI.

One is in measurement, so thinking about how are we evaluating this model, both from, like, the ML evaluation sense, but also evaluating its impact on patient lives, right? If someone's claiming to be building a mental health tool, then we need to be assessing its impact with validated measures.

Are we using things with strong psychometrics? Are we asking people the right questions at the right time to determine efficacy and safety? Clinicians are gonna be the backbone of our safety systems.

A model is only safe if it's following a policy.

Who's writing that policy? An AI could write it, but it's gonna miss something, and it's not gonna be able to capture that clinical risk.

At least that's what we've seen.
