Schlumberger

Schlumberger

SLB is the world's premier oilfield-services company as measured by market share. While the industry is largely fragmented, SLB holds the first or second competitive position in many of the differentiated oligopolies in which it operates. Also known as Schlumberger, the company was founded in 1926 by two brothers bearing the same last name. Today, it's most known as a global industry leader in innovation, while it focuses its strategy on its three growth engines: core, digital, and new energy businesses. Over three-fourths of its revenue base is tied to international markets, while the company boasts roughly $3 billion in digital-related revenue.www.slb.com

And the trickle through would be those stocks.
Rick BensignorGUEST
9:28
so but what i am thinking is and this kind of a counter trend idea but i rather be long right now let's say oil services oih etf and short xop the integrated oils thinking that oil can come off exons and mobiles of the world will react with that more so than the schlumberger's halliburton's and baker hughes as well so as a pair trade i'm more apt to be kind of if i want to have exposure in the sector and i do i'd rather be long the oil service names than the the integrated names right now i personally own xle i bought it earlier this year And I myself am contemplating if I take some off here.
Rick BensignorGUEST
10:18
And that's obviously XOP and OIH are all component pieces of the bigger energy sector itself.

Now, another way you could play it that investors could consider it is on the oil field services side, because obviously you need Halliburton.
Rob ThummelGUEST

and Schlumberger basically to go into the country to help rebuild the infrastructure, to help drill the wells.
Rob ThummelGUEST

And since then, I worked in the field, literally underground, spent several years at Schlumberger in oil and gas, where I worked as a field engineer, project manager and operations engineer, walking the field in my baggy overalls as the only female in 300 men across rigs in the middle of the ocean and in the deserts.
Abhinoor DhullGUEST
