Skyway

I think, I think something that Tomorrowland needs is that kinetic energy.

And since we lost the PeopleMover and we lost the rocket jets up on the, up on the PeopleMover platform, and we lost the Skyway, like you used to go into Tomorrowland, and everywhere you looked there was movement and energy-

... and it felt alive.

yeah he knew that it would work here i'm happy because i'm not a very good salesman at all or a good businessman i'm just an artist what i'm saying is thank god you did that well

you speak through the art i'm looking at i'm sitting here and i'm looking at this amazing classic disneyland image with the Matterhorn still with the Skyway buckets coming through it and celebrating Disneyland.

And you just, you communicate through that medium so powerfully.

I mean, you speak very powerfully too, but visually, you know, we did some interviews here at D23, which were pretty funny because I learned, I learned something about you.

This was not here back in 1971.

Instead, the legendary Skyway to Tomorrowland and Skyway to Fantasyland systems were in place here.

It's unfortunate that it's only a restroom experience, but the restroom experience allowed them to remove the restrooms that were actually on the other side of this pathway and thus create a larger, extended, interactive experience for those lining up to visit Peter Pan's flight.

Peter Pan's Flight was an opening day attraction, along with Snow White's Adventures and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

So it's actually gone through a lot of changes over the years, and not my favorite attraction, but I gotta tell you, there are a lot of kids who want to make this.

This is their thing, to be able to drive in a car, and it has been very popular to them.

And frankly, it has lasted a lot longer than any other The first attraction that was open in 1971, the Skyway to Fantasyland, which we talked about earlier, of course, is long gone.

The other attraction that was open on that day was Flight to the Moon, which was then changed to Mission to Mars, which was then changed to Alien Encounter, which was changed to the Stitch experience.
