So I was very passionate about having alternative ways to commission black writers.

I worked at Black and Bright, that's how...

I became involved and I was the marketing manager and we were doing a program through creative Australia called the digital residency program.

And as part of that, we had to pitch a project that we could get seed funding for.

And I thought we need some way to have a digital archive, similar to what you would do, having a digital archive for our stories, because not everyone wants to have a book published.
