Skull Island: Reign of Kong

I haven't seen a video of that B mode.

If you had to guess right now what the wait time for Skull Island Reign of Kong is, what would you say?

Oh, right now on a Saturday, 10 in the morning.

Well, you're saying it's got to be high.

This is another location that is not always operating.

Skull Island, Reign of Kong.

As a land, it's a little unusual because the land itself is the only thing in here and oddly enough has the same name.

Skull Island, Reign of Kong is a massive immersive dock ride that transports guests deep into the mysterious and dangerous world of Skull Island.

Set in the 1930s, visitors join the Eighth Wonder Expedition Company on a journey through an uncharted island filled with ancient ruins, hostile natives, and terrifying prehistoric creatures.

What begins as a sightseeing expedition quickly turns into a desperate fight for survival as monstrous predators attack from all sides.

As the battle between Kong and the island's creatures escalates, riders find themselves caught in the middle of an epic struggle that showcases Kong as both a fearsome beast and the island's reluctant protector.

Through a combination of enormous

All Halloween season.

Where is this? Skull Island.

The scare actors.

Back in the queue line.

I was like,

yeah, it's that one.

Skull Island.

Put scare actors in the queue.

High-- Okay, High in the Sky train thing.

We did Skull Island and Spider-Man, and then we went over to Universal Studios to finish up.

And then we went over to Universal Studios.

This is where we kind of had a little bit of a setback.

Mm-hmm.

King Kong's still jacked up.

Yeah.

So, like, we waited and waited and waited-

... from going outside.

Mm-mm.

And then King Kong was covered-

Kong was covered

Well, there you have it.

Next story, Skull Island: Reign of Kong reopens without Kong.

Universal confirmed that the giant Kong animatronic was damaged during routine maintenance.

That person got an earful, I guarantee you.

And the UOAP lounge right there is right now offering 70% off some Universal classic monsters merchandise, as well as giving away free key chains.

The reopening of Reign of Kong without the King Kong animatronic at the end is, of course, big news, not little news.

But the little news there is that the single riders line has not reopened, and it is not expected to ever come back.

I've also noticed that the Spider-Man single rider line has been closed a lot lately, even when the park has been busy.

I'm Team Clara, yeah.

Yes.

So going back to the, the last new show, and we talked about Reign of Kong being closed, and it opened, like, two days later.

Yeah, because they listened to us.

Brad, this is not my topic tonight, but I did want to run this by you because I can never tell what you're up to date on and what you're not.

Did you hear that King Kong over at the Reign of Kong Skull Island attraction? He has unfortunately burned down.

and the attraction is not operating with king kong and there is a lot of speculation right now is he going to be fixed or is he going to become a screen so i'm just going to ask you for a lot of people this is something where people uh they only ride this attraction because they want to see the big old monkey How are you coping? You got big feelings on this? Does this take away any possibility of you going back to the attraction? If it does become a screen, where are you going to sit with that? What are you thinking?

Well, yeah, you kind of just said it outright a minute ago where like, The reason you go on this attraction is for that animatronic or that big head at the end.

So all right.

Um, well, again, and remember that, that, uh, Skull Island: Reign of Kong is over on Islands of Adventure, and you have some information about, uh, construction walls that have gone up in that theme park, right?

Yeah.

This is an interesting...
