Skellig Islands

Yeah

... and bought a seventy-three acre farm overlooking the Atlantic and the Skelligs and the Kerry Mountains, including Carrauntoohil.

Um, and I really, I just fell in love with this farm, and what, what it was about it in particular was that the, the land had been left alone for a long time.

Mm-hmm.

Recently, I travelled to the wonderful Evora Peninsula in County Kerry, taking in the wild beauty of the coastline, the mountains, the islands and the Atlantic Ocean that has shaped this remarkable part of Ireland for generations.

Evora is that great peninsula in the south-west of County Kerry, reaching out into the wild Atlantic Ocean towards the Skellig Islands.

Evora has a range of extraordinary places such as Valencia Island, Port Magee, Carras-Iveen, The Glen, Ballin Skelligs, Waterville, Derry-Nan and more.

I recently spent time on Valencia Island, a place that has a very special place in my heart.

I often call Evra and Valencia my spiritual home, a place where I feel connected to something deeper, where the landscape seems to speak and where the pace of life allows you to stop, breathe and simply be.

On my recent trip to Valencia Island with family and friends, I had the greatest pleasure of taking a boat trip out and landing on Skellig Michael.

And this is an adventure I want to highly recommend and share with you all today.

Twelve kilometres off the coast of County Kerry, rising dramatically from the Atlantic Ocean, are two of Ireland's most extraordinary islands, known collectively as the Skelligs.
