Six Flags Great America

My name is Mike Collins, and I am here in the Coaster Radio studios all by myself this week.

That's because EB is out at Six Flags Great America getting in one last trip of the summer.

So excited to hear from him today because he is going to be reporting from all over the Midway, going on rides, telling you what he's up to.

And you know when EB's at the park, it's always interesting.

And if you're watching us on YouTube, we'll actually show you some animated footage of that from a point of view, but also off-ride, so you can really see what that ride system's about.

Very innovative there, and the point-of-view video looks really cool, so I'm excited for that.

There, this wasn't the first Bat clone either.

I think that was at, uh, that was probably Six Flags Great America near Chicago, I think.

Either way, it's an inverted coaster.

There's a lot of Bat clones.

Yeah, totally.

We also swung by Six Flags Great America the next day on our layover before heading to Belgium to visit Wallopy Belgium before the closure of Loop Garou Werewolf.

Six Flags Great America was the subject of a two-day visit in May of this year, but it's surprising what can change in a park from just a few months because there was a lot of stuff that we couldn't do on the first visit that we did on this visit and a few things that we did on the first visit that we were not able to do this time around.

And the biggest thing we learned is that racing season's over.

Racing season is over.

They're no longer racing on paper.

And they are dispatching them separately.

But then my question is Six Flags Great America, why? Why would you not longer race them? The problem is kind of twofold

chain.

Six Flags over Georgia, Six Flags New England, Six Flags Great America, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.

The two Texas parks were the first two parks to get RMCs in the world.

Texas, RMC, Six Flags, very, very long working relationship, very successful working relationship for both companies.

This box is like a brick, Mike, so I think I already know what's inside.

Oh, and speaking of bricks, I was up at Six Flags Great America recently.

I think we're going to do that as a show here in a couple of weeks.

But they have commemorative bricks for their 50th anniversary, Mike.

That was cool.

Went to Magic Mountain for the first time this summer as well, which was just a bucket list thing.

I was bummed that Viper wasn't open when I was there, though, because I grew up riding Shockwave at Six Flags Great America.

And Viper's the same type of ride as that.

Gold Pass holders get regional access to some of the most celebrated amusement destinations in North America, including Cedar Point and Cedar Point Shores in Ohio, Kings Island and Soak City in Ohio.

Six Flags Great America in Illinois, Hurricane Harbor Rockford in Illinois, and Canada's Wonderland in Splashworks in Ontario.

Topps Finishes Fall Store Remodel Topps Markets has completed a $1 million remodel of its Niagara Falls store at 1000 Portage Road, which is the company's 52nd major store remodel in six years.

That store is just steps away from the site of the Buffalo headquarter company's first modern supermarket, said Ron Ferry, president of Topps Markets.

Well, Six Flags Great America is there.

Oh, okay.

I would imagine advertising is a couple bucks.

Sometimes the monster doesn't need a face.

Six Flags Great America has announced Blair Witch, No Signal, around near total darkness, winding trails, abandoned camps, ritual sites, and the Rustin Parr House.

The frightening idea there is not simply that something waits in the woods.

It's that the path itself has stopped feeling worthy of trust.

Now most interesting from that list is probably Cedar Point.

The reason that one is the most interesting is because Cedar Point is renowned for having quite the collection of roller coasters.
