Sitting on the Edge of the Ocean

I've seen some of the master tapes from this period, and the earliest record I have of this album's production is a recording session on the 21st of July 1979 using the RAC mobile facility.

And they recorded two rough mixes of Goodbye to the Island and Sitting on the Edge of the Ocean.

And we're going to spend a little bit of time talking about that song very soon.

Now, what interests me so much about this project is that it's the first time that Bonnie has had just two producers since My My Honeycomb, her first single, which was produced by David Mackay and Ronnie Scott.

So between promoting this new single, Bonnie was doing a lot of TV and magazine and things like that.

Ronnie Scott and Steve Wolfe had entered a new song sitting on the edge of the ocean for the World Popular Song Festival in Japan.

And it's an opportunity for national and international artists to showcase new music.
