Sisu

I'll be honest with you.

For those who follow the pod, go back to a couple of our episodes before and just see how I feel about the movie Sisu.

Because if you understand how I feel about that movie Sisu, you might understand how I'm coming into this pod today.

I'm excited to where he goes.

I think the movie you make like, yeah, I give you that.

Sisu was over the top, but this movie was crafted very well.

I was hanging out with my mom, who's in her 70s this week, and she was like, oh, you know what? I saw this really good movie.

It's called something like Sisi, and I'm like, Sisu? And she's like, yeah.

I go, yeah, isn't it great? I couldn't believe that she watched it and liked it.

That is cool.

Sisu is great.

I recently saw the sequel maybe a month ago on Netflix, and I was like, fuck, it's so good.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Sisu.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And that's all I could think about this whole movie was like how Sisu committed to the bit and this didn't.

It felt like.

So this is like a Sisu meets Hard Eyes kind of thing, but I would rather watch either one of those than this.

Was there not like a couple of exploitation films made recently with a Finnish guy? Sisu.

That's about tough Finns fucking over Nazis.

Oh, Nazis, is it? Okay, well, not so historically accurate then.

Or they have, you know, a righteous thing to do whether it's saving somebody.

But I watched a movie called Sisu.

No, but it's, I think the hardness of him, not actually the story of the gold or whatever, but I think the hardness of this guy is based on, I don't know if it was a Swedish or Norwegian guy, who, I think the wife or somebody got killed by Nazis.

and he went out he wouldn't even wear he wouldn't bring I don't know he'd take down something like 73 Nazis he got them all and he did it with iron sights from like 200 because he went the glass you know the telescopic he thought of everything to get these guys but the hardness of him like just frost bit fucking Mickey didn't matter but that Sisu thing there was something different in that you were like I can't put myself in your man's...

Because he's like 70.
