SIRESP

Exactly.

Combine that with the Ministry of Internal Administration suddenly demanding a sweeping audit of the SIRESP network, the state's critical emergency communications grid.

Oh, man.

When you mention SIRESP to a Portuguese citizen, you are touching an exposed nerve.

A very sensitive one.

It instantly brings back the visceral, traumatic memory of the deadly wildfires from a few years ago.

Meanwhile, Correio da Manhã is covering accusations that the government pushed through a law specifically tailored to benefit Minister Miguel Pinto Luz.

And there are also reports that Luís Neves, a key figure in the Judicial Police, is hiding a dispatch regarding SIRESP, which is the state's critical emergency communications network.

That is a lot of power struggles behind closed doors.

How is all of this reflecting in the broader political barometers?

It sounds absurd, I know.

But it goes right back to the very same friction we just saw with the MAI and SIRESP.

Really?

Yeah.
