You have been saying no and the government has been saying no to the unions a lot and saying it in a way that has aggrieved the many of them saying that they can't get a response, that the government is not negotiating in good faith.

We were speaking to the health organiser from SIPTU earlier on.

who was saying that the government simply has not accepted that a different public sector pay deal has to be made.

Is he right in that? Is the government being a discourteous in the way that it deals and be ignoring the reality of the situation the unions find themselves
