We love Singapore and we love Singaporean boys.

Um, I'm gonna have the, there's the hakka noodles over there.

I found all that bits.

I was like, "They're all missing." Okay, we're gonna eat.

It came with eggs but I ate it already.

So many people.

So food is such an important part of Asian cultures, but particularly Singaporean culture, which is why it's important to get the food portrayed as accurately as possible in this film.

Also of note, the film's director, Jon Chu, he's a restaurant kid.

His family owns a prominent restaurant in California, and he grew up in it, which makes sense that he would want the food and techniques to be right.

That's my favorite local spot.

In Manhattan, we have Urban Hawker, which is kind of a fancy food hall where you can try Singaporean, Indonesian, and Filipino food.

Uh, my friend Cassandra, who owns the company Mama Lam's Malaysian Sauces, also used to run a pop-up called Laksa Shop.

And I think actually the nice thing is you can, well, it's interesting, isn't it? People look at TikTok who want to just go to TikTok places.

I wouldn't look at TikTok for my food advice because my cousins in Singapore send me TikTok videos about places in London that are sending apparently Singaporean food, Malaysian food, which I'm always on the quest for.

And I know the places that they tell me that some TikTok is telling me.

It's amazing.
