These editors don't get paid a great deal of money and they haven't got half a day every day to check their emails of all this.

And you might be getting... a hundred emails from people just blanket, you know, spamming your inbox, you know, and every, you know, the 10th one, the 15th one is like a, you know, Simon Bisley, Kevin O'Neill, you'll never see them because you're mixed up in all the other stuff.

So I guess to avoid, you know, any confusion, they just kibosh that and then started doing the competition.

That's actually how I, I, ended up going to thought world to start with i wanted to submit to 2000 ad and then i was like oh you can't and then i was like oh but you can go and see them in person and then do this competition so i was like oh okay yeah so i so ended up doing that and um yeah and i i did get through to the final once got pretty uh i i i have kind of quite fond memories of being ridiculed by jock in front of a massive huge road room full of people so i don't i only wake up three or four times a night thinking about that um aside from that and actually alison sampson was on the uh the panel and that's one reason that i ended up sort of becoming kind of quite friendly so yeah she was yeah she was really been really supportive since then but yeah um but yeah but a great opportunity and anyone that's thinking about doing that competition So, yeah, I thoroughly recommend you do it, whether you get through or not, because you learn a lot from it.

Simon Beisley may have created Lobo, actually.
