Directed by Ben Palmer, written by Damon Beesley and Iain Morris, who also, uh, created The Inbetweeners TV show that Palmer was also directing.

Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, and Joe Thomas as the four inbetweeners of the film's title, and then a, a long ensemble cast including the likes of Emily Head, Laura Haddock, Tamla Kari, uh, Jessica Knappett, Theo James, Anthony Head, Robin Weaver, Greg Davies, Alex Macqueen, Kush Jumba.

I mean, it's quite an extensive list of names who, who've spiked up since as well, as well as the ones who were relatively famous at the time.

But the story of The Inbetweeners movie starts with The Inbetweeners TV show.

So when we came back to the script after that series, we had to pull a few jokes out and move it around a bit.

So they had this rough draft, used some of the ideas in series three of the TV show, did work, d- did further work to cement the shooting draft, uh, shooting draft of the film.

And as, as one of the stars, Simon Bird, noted, they have always been talking about trying to do a British teen comedy movie.

This was no surprise to the cast, and it just so happened that The Inbetweeners became a big hit and was too good a fit to do with different characters.

Careful.

Something happened with Simon Bird's Starfighter role.

It's a little bit of a mystery because Simon Bird was part of Lucasfilm's original cast announcement, but his name has subsequently been removed from the official cast listing.

uh somewhere approximately between august 21st and september 2nd it doesn't necessarily mean that he's cut from the film but something has definitely changed um so we shall see i wonder you know that he could have just played a character and got lost in the edit you know so i don't know we'll see uh speaking of imax the original star wars a new hope is coming to imax um i mean for me this is probably one of the coolest announcements in the past few weeks because not only is it coming to imax for the 50th anniversary um lucasfilm just announced that they're gonna also release it in 70 millimeter imax whoa that's nice i don't even know the kind of upscale we've talked about that like the the ai upscaling that they're using for this movie from the from the original film cells but to like upscale it to a 70 millimeter imax is insane

Well, how about this for a segue? [laughs] I tell you who's not in Starfighter, or maybe, maybe he will be, maybe it's just a misunderstanding, but it is a little bit odd.

It would be taken down quite quickly, but I could do it.

Can't wait

... reprising their roles.

But the, um, The Inbetweeners 2, I know this is unusual, uh, opinion, but I thought it was hilarious and was just a gag machine.

And so it's Simon Bird returning as Will, James Buckley returning as Jay, Blake Harrison back as Neil, and Joe Thomas as Simon.

Damon Beesley and Ian Morris, the creators of The Inbetweeners, have written this.

No, they're all in their 30s and 40s now, I guess.

Um, so Simon Bird is 42, yes.

So they're all, all around that age.

Netflix is bringing it back for a movie, The Inbetweeners 3.

Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, and Joe Thomas come back as The Inbetweeners, Will, Jay, Neil, and Simon, who get into all sorts of misadventures.

They were like horny high schoolers when this thing started.

Now they're like 40.

I don't know.

The coming-of-age sitcom was originally broadcast on Channel 4 between 2008 and 2010.

All right, so 2008's 18 years ago, so if they were pretending to be 16 then, so the characters are 34 now? Did I do the math right? Following the misadventures of suburban teenager Will and his friends Simon, Neil, and Jay at the fictional Rudge Park Comprehensive School as they navigated school life, friendship, and failed sexual encounters.

Over three seasons, the series set ratings records for the British broadcaster and won multiple awards.

The in-betweeners are coming back.

Netflix has confirmed that production on the highly anticipated reunion film began on Monday with Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas all set to reprise their roles for the first time since 2010.
