remember once actually being in Silverburn.

No, it wouldn't have been Silverburn.

It would have been Brayhead or something.

The shopping centre in Glasgow when I was quite young.

Hopefully there is a way that we can come together.

Councillor Rosa Sally has been championing recent community clean-ups of burns in Greater Pollock, which brought together a range of partners including the Silverburn Shopping Centre, McDonald's and Tesco staff, Glasgow City Council and the Sanctuary Housing Association.

She said, Kieran is doing a brilliant job in cleaning up the burn and I'm really pleased that he's raising awareness of the issue.

He really cares about his community.

That idea of taking the foot off the gas is really hard to, as a business owner, actually do.

I couldn't agree more sometimes it's one of the beauties of being in partnership and I know you obviously yourself as well as he John or Brian can identify and go like go and sit on your arse and you know chill out for a bit but it is hard it is hard so Let's rewind back to two years ago, we were having a chat and obviously I'm from Uddingston, we were talking about you had the shop front in Uddingston, you'd done a bit in Silverburn as well, so talk to us about where Uploadabode is now, because I still see your residence in Uddingston, go by it every day pretty much, but talk about the scale of the business now, so what's changed in the last couple of years?

Yeah, so essentially since then we probably, we took on our four new members of staff and we probably took on about another three since then as well.

So we're up to 12 full time.

i think like it's you don't know what's in front of you but yeah where we're at at the moment obviously I know you guys through racing so betting a gambler I don't gamble as much nowadays but I think to be in business you need to have that element of gamble and I think for us this is we've made some big gambles throughout the years but this is definitely probably one of the biggest ones definitely financially but again it's also probably one of the most calculated ones I feel like if we tried to do what we're doing now two years ago, five years ago.

And we've done things over the years where we've jumped too early.

Silverburn, where we opened the pod in Silverburn first of its kind and still first in its kind because it didn't really work out for us.

We weren't a big enough company.

But speaking of- Yeah ... queueing, that is becoming a thing that ...

Right, so I went to Silverburn on Saturday, right? Mm-hmm.

Brave.

Huge queue outside.

I do love a, a beauty shopping experience.

Yeah.

And I'm so glad that we've got so much choice there at Silverburn.

Great.

But I'm relatively new to watching this kind of release schedule, so I guess, I don't know, maybe they were more organized in the past and I didn't know, but...

no it definitely feels really strange like especially with the film times being the way that they are like particularly at Silverburn at the moment like if you don't book the date like on a Tuesday when tickets get released if you're not booking at like seven o'clock in the morning with one screen on it's got 12 seats in it and it's something you really want to see and nobody wants to sit right down the front of those recliner seats because the screen is like here I don't know how they're working it at the moment but I feel like summer is going to be full of like half the screens will be disclosure day the other half will be Toy Story 5 And they'll ride that wave for as long as humanly possible.

It's so weird because I feel like I have no desire to see any of that.

Maybe we'll see the Odyssey.
