That is my favorite burrito on the Colorado Trail, without a doubt.

My favorite from any trail is, without a doubt, Adobe Springs, Silver City, New Mexico on the CDT.

Okay, okay.

Yeah, I mean, if we want to, like, open up CDT, yeah, like...

muscle replacements.

E cioè che questo ragazzo fuggito da un camino a Silver City appena sei anni prima, in così poco tempo è riuscito a diventare un mito che l'America non riesce e non riuscirà probabilmente mai a lasciare andare.

Un po' come Bonnie, un po' come Clyde.

Luce went to work for a different packer for a few years and then quit the business.

She lives in Silver City now and drives a school bus.

She's been back to that meadow one time in 2017 on a day ride with her nephew in July when the grass was green and short and you could see clear across it.

They ate lunch on the creek bank.

If I were staying in a motel, the further south I got, I was starting anywhere between 4 and 6 in the morning.

I did start at 3 a.m. My last day... from Silver City into Antelope Wells just because it was going to be like 120 degrees that day.

But yeah, you get in this routine and you're just living it on the trail.

All you're thinking about is the next day.

So I realized at that point in time, I better snap out of it and get out of there.

And I took off.

And from then on, I just, I hammered, I got into silver city.

And then after I left silver city about three in the morning and hammered to Antelope Wells, I made it to Antelope Wells about, about three 20, I mean, uh, 1220 in the afternoon.

Yeah, I got more Trail Days coming up next month for CDT, and then it'll kind of be the end of the hiking season and time to start sewing a lot.

What CDT Trail Days do they do this time of year? The only one I'm thinking of is Silver City, and that's way earlier.

So,

yeah, that one's in April, but we do the Southbound one in Leadville every September.

I might try to do the Leadville one.

That'd be fun.

I've only been to the CDT one in Silver City, and that was honestly kind of by accident.

I just happened to be in town when it was happening.

Not one little bit.

This paper's a week old, and it came from Silver City.

I know that.

Where were we a week ago, partner?

A week ago? Oh, we were in Willow Gulch, Colorado.

500 miles from Silver City, New Mexico.

Huh? Then how'd you tell him anything? Smoke signal?

The point is, I didn't tell him anything.
