Now what's even easier about buying wine from Alsace is the grape varieties are pretty much on the label.

Auxerrois, Gewürztraminer, Muscat Autenel, Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Silvaner.

They're all going to show up on the label declaring what is in the bottle.

Chasselas can also be called Goutadel and can use both the blanc and rose chasselas grapes, so you know what's in the bottle.

... uh, which had the Tokay vineyard, but they had things like Riesling and Silvaner and Gewürztraminer planted.

Monte Rosso at one point was like almost 20% Riesling and along with Traminer and all the other stuff.

Um, so to me, it's just like very cool that we still have a few of these little vestiges left of what was very much a dominant thing in Sonoma Valley, like 100 and, I can't do math.
